No Cape Needed: Reintroducing From Burned Out to Bossed Up

In this inaugural re-release of From Burned Out to Bossed up, I revisit my original podcast episode that focused on systems, productivity, and entrepreneurship. While the general concept of burnout and how to manage it has not changed, I realized that the impact of burnout isn’t just important because it impacts productivity – it’s important because it can potentially damage your mental health over a long period of time. It’s a dangerous cycle that repeats because of one’s mindset – but all we ever hear anyone say is to take a vacation or a walk in the park to fix it.

Most of the time people aren’t working hard simply because they are committed to the task. We’ve been conditioned as a society to believe that how “hard” someone works is a direct reflection of their worth as a human being. Not only is that false, but it’s a message rooted in capitalism, makes your superiors rich, and leaves you grinding yourself to deterioration over time. For this reason, I don’t believe the key to success is working hard, it’s working smart(with purpose and a plan).

This podcast is dedicated to leading the narrative on prioritizing your mental health, working efficiently and effectively, and still enjoying the lifestyle you truly desire.

With over 20 years of experience from retail and hospitality to event planning and operations management, my primary focus is on educating and execution on business systems, maximizing productivity, and self-care routines and habits. When I'm not on the microphone, I enjoy helping entrepreneurs structure their businesses in a way that doesn't just serve their clients - but serves them as well by prioritizing their self-care and purpose.
